- Museum of Local History -- 2 Floors of Exhibits - Visit old town Berlin shops, fur & leather exhibits and a tribute to Berlin's 100 year old Berlin Hospital Association.
- Clark School -- A one room schoolhouse furnished as it was used in the 19th & 20th century
- The Bottling Works Displays include early 20th century home furnishings, along with ice cutting tools and a print shop display
- The Blacksmith Shop -- a display of transportation equipment from the 19th & 20th century along with a forge and handmade blacksmith tools including the tools that made the tools that carved Mt Rushmore. See our newest exhibit - a one cylinder gasoline engine invented and built by Tim Fortnum of Johnson-Fortnum shop - built in 1904.
The Museums will be opening for the regular season on Sunday, May 20th. The museums will be open on May 27; June 10 and 24th; July 8th and 22nd; August 12th & 26th. Hours are from 1 p.m to 4 p.m. We can arrange other dates by calling 920-361-2460 for an appointment. There is no fee but donations are always accepted.
Join us for our Annual Ghost Walk on Saturday, Oct. 20th at Oakwood Cemetery, Berlin. This year's theme will honor the sesquicentenial of the Civil War. Tours start at the Griffith Chapel at 6:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Become a 'Friend' - Visit us on Facebook each week and see some of our new images.
Be a part of history - Purchase a book for $10.00 and help build a monument to the First Nations who lived here before us. Award winning metal sculptor Mark Fischer has designed and created our tribute. It is now on the musuem campus at 111 S. Adams Ave.
The Berlin Area Historical Society book "The Story of the Mascoutin Indians and of their Massacre" is still available. It was written by Ripon lawyer, E.L. Runals in the late 1800's and taken from his original manuscript.
We are proud to present this monument and thank everyone for supporting us.

The Club meets at 7:00p.m. on the 2nd Wednesdays of the month except for June, July & August at the American Legion Hall, 140 S. Adams St. Berlin, WI. Guests and new members are always welcome (Notice - new location)
We are always looking for artifacts, books, papers, or photographs of Berlin and the surronding area. We will scan your photos and return them to you...especially looking for scenes from the 50's/60's/70's. The Society now owns over 8,000 images of Berlin and would be happy to present a photo program for your club or organization.
